Call the coordinator as early as possible if you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle, since these are required, and the number available will determine how many hikers can participate. The summit is a Jewel in the Crown with breathtaking views. The trail holds a potpourri of native plants, including patches of Lobelia on the downward slopes. HTMC first did this hike on July 14, 1935.
