This short hike is a moderately easy route up to the Ko’olau Summit.  The first portion is on an easy dirt road, which then turns into a fairly steep intermediate trail.  It can be slick and muddy, but some of the deep erosion trenches have been repaired.

This long graded trail to the Ko’olau summit and back requires stamina and perseverance from the hiker, but it is an enjoyable long trail with good views where one can turn around at any point to return.
